Meet The Board
Bethany has been in ministry for 25 years and nonprofit leadership for over 15 years. She has a background in community health and development ministry, including serving 9 years in Thailand, where she co-founded Full Life Development. Bethany completed her Master of Divinity with Christian Theological Seminary in 2017 and has a Master diploma in International Health from the University of the Nations. She currently serves as the Pastor of Mission and Discipleship at Linton First United Methodist Church and as the INUMC Health and Wellness Coordinator. Bethany has a passion to connect the church and community to pursue wholeness and wellness for individuals and communities.
B ethany Scott
Keith Gelarden Dayton is a faculty member at Kelley School of Business. He teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has received awards from the IU Trustees, and twice Student Choice for Outstanding Faculty. He teaches internationally in Croatia and Cuba. He helped lead Project Hope putting over 800 Indiana businesses online, and developed 1Kelley Consulting to serve women and minority-owned businesses. Keith is involved with many campus organizations and teaches Sunday School to 5th and 6th graders. His family rescues senior dogs. Keith has a background in the military (Marine Corps), the criminal justice system, and community consulting.

Markus grew up in rural central Illinois, later studied computational linguistics & taught for ten years at Indiana University before leaving academia for ministry in 2018. Markus leads the Jubilee College and Young Adult Ministry at First UMC in Bloomington. The group focuses on relationships, inclusion, and a holistic faith - which he realizes, in part, through DWIG and through long-standing volunteering with non-profits like New Leaf- New Life (incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals) and Thriving Connections (those in poverty). He'll love anybody!
Markus Dickinson
Sean grew up in Mitchell, a small Indiana town where his parents still live and are deeply involved in their church and community. He is a father of two (Lydia and Patrick) and a member of Christ Community Church in Bloomington, IN. He has served on the Deacon committee and Elder Board and currently is a member of the Missions committee and Community Outreach committee. Sean works in R&D at Cook Medical.

Kandace Jones lives in Shoals, IN and works as a therapist at the Indiana Center for Recovery in Bedford. She studied nonprofit administration as well as social work and has experience writing grant proposals to support community programs. Kandace works to strengthen connections between the church and the community, encouraging collaboration and care for one another.

Rev. William Brown has served Bedford First Christian Church since March of 2022. Will is from Iowa and is a lifetime Disciples of Christ member, and is now proud to be a Hoosier! He graduated from Texas Christian University with a BA in Religion Studies, and earned a Masters of Divinity from Brite Divinity School, and was ordained in 2016. He enjoys all things outdoors, camping ministries, and community building endeavors. He is also passionate about social justice and anti-racism ministries, as well as advocating for equality.
William Brown
Georgia holds degrees in Business Administration and Early Childhood Education from Vincennes University and the University of Evansville. Passionate about community service, Georgia is actively involved at Cornerstone Community Church, where she manages the local food pantry. Recently, Georgia championed mental health and substance abuse awareness in Martin County, and most recently founded the Martin County Recovery Awareness Night. Certified as a Peer Recovery Coach and NARCAN certified, she leads recovery programs and initiatives, such as the Martin County Chapter of Celebrate Recovery. Georgia is the go to person to call if you are struggling with food, shelter, bills. recovery/rehab, or simply prayers or need someone with empathy to talk to confidentiality.
